Entrepreneurship is not a game, there are many responsibilities that you must take on. A company’s commitment is a fundamental aspect in order for you to achieve complete success with your company.
Having a business just to enjoy its benefits but not being willing to meet certain standards is like getting married just to enjoy the honeymoon without taking responsibility for your wife. That is, it means committing to yourself but falling short of your commitment.
So, from now on you should know that if you decide to take on a project, in addition to many benefits and good times, you also have obligations that you must fulfill. That means if you decide to make a commitment, put the ring on the bride!
A company’s commitment starts at the top:
It must be clear that a company’s commitment is not just your commitment as an entrepreneur. But although “company” refers to the entire team, it’s up to you as the leader to ensure that all responsibilities fall. Even if you want the team to commit, you must first commit yourself.
And it so happens that as a boss, manager, president, owner…or whatever you want to call your company, you are the one who is accountable to everyone: customers, suppliers, employees, the state, etc. It doesn’t seem like it to be easy hahaha something like when you get married not knowing that if you are late they will claim you without notifying them that you will be reported if you don’t support your children…hahaha
1- Commitment of a company to its customers:
One of the most important. You have to know you’re not here to sell a product and then forget about the customer. Just as a family man has to report to his boss in order to have money and support his household, so you have to do it as an entrepreneur. Only your boss becomes your customer. If they’re not satisfied, you don’t eat! 😀
So you must do everything in your power to please them. And the only way to do that is by knowing them well and offering quality products that really help them. When the client feels that commitment you have with them, believe me they will appreciate you very much.
That’s why it’s important that you conduct studies that measure their satisfaction. Likewise, you must listen to recommendations, suggestions, complaints… and even if you don’t want to make some changes on a whim, you must listen and obey as long as it suits the company.
I told you friend when you get married you can’t do what you want hahaha. There are limitations that drive us, our pride, our desire to do what pleases us, etc. If you want success, you have to commit to the customer!
2- Obligation of a company towards its suppliers
What would happen if you cut your relationship with suppliers? You don’t even want to imagine it, do you? If you still don’t understand that you’re married and you need to give up your pride, you can say “I’ll find someone else and that’s it” hahaha, but it’s not that simple.
If your relationship with suppliers is compromised, there is a high possibility that things will get complicated and you will fail in your commitment to the customer. Therefore, without reason, you think of breaking the obligation that you have with them, which generally consists of paying on time, not going into debt, etc.
Don’t be one of those who get into debt with your suppliers, because sooner or later your company will suffer the consequences. You also fulfill the agreements. There are companies where the entrepreneur talks too much hahaha and gets involved in so many crazy things that he doesn’t comply. Such as “You sell me at X price and I only buy from you; You sell me at X price and I gave you X product etc.” And it turns out you end up hurting and breaking the relationship you have with the supplier. Be very careful with this!
3- A company’s commitment to its employees
In my personal opinion, this is the greatest commitment after the client. And it’s that your people aren’t just what they help you produce. But it’s your people, your family, who are always there for you. Therefore, you must keep them in everything they agree on.
First of all, you have to make an effort and move the company forward, because many employees depend on it. Be motivated not only by the well-being of your family, but also by theirs. When you feel that pressure in a certain way, you feel compelled to fight more, to give more of yourself. So he thinks X families depend on what product hits the market next. So work with passion!
What would happen if your business failed? you’re not just running out of money to eat. But the families of those who work with you and depend on your business.
Likewise, anything you promise must be fulfilled, starting mainly with what is stated in the contract they sign. Don’t even think about exploiting your employees, let alone stealing them.
4- A company’s involvement with the State
You need to understand that your business, no matter how small it is (depending on the size of your company), affects the development of a country. And although the first thing that comes to mind is money, taxes, blah blah, go beyond that. But taking advantage of the point, I remind you that you must comply with everything required by law in this regard.
Although you often disagree, you have to pay what the state agrees to. As well as keeping all your papers in order. And as an entrepreneur about to enter the business world, I remind you that one way to be responsible is to register your business and have all your paperwork in order.
Now I’ll go with the “goes beyond money”.
When I say personal commitment to the country, I don’t mean the president or any type of ruler. But I’m referring to the people who make up the country.
You have to understand that a country where ventures fail, where there is no commercial progress, where its companies are not producing, is a country that will sooner rather than later face a terrible crisis (I know why I say this you 🙁 ).
So not only do you have to obey the law, but you also have to believe that what you do contributes to society. It can’t be monetary (although doing community work would be great). But at least, and as an example, the residents of your city can say: “I don’t need to travel to another city to enjoy a good cinema, quality transport, drinking water supply, a good restaurant, etc.”
Therefore, when you start a business, you should not feel that you are working for yourself, your employees, your family, but that what you are doing will leave a mark across the country and even the world.
After reading this, still want to commit?
I personally believe something. And so we see a lot of impositions at the beginning of this post. For example, when you get married and you are told: “You have to work hard, you can no longer do what you want, there are rules, there are norms…”. You are definitely scared.
But when you understand that not everything is bad hahaha and that you can spend pleasant moments with the people you love, that you will share a home, that you will have beautiful children, experiences that are priceless, everything changes itself! It makes you want to get married again (it’s the good thing about breaking the bad news first hahaha).
And so it happens with entrepreneurship, you read these rules, engagement here and there… but when we read the last point where we understand that we will leave a mark and many will benefit, everything changes! There we want to get involved as protagonists of many changes.
It’s just that you saw it and not that you regretted it on the contrary hahaha. You already know that you have to fulfill your commitment, everything means working hard and having to sacrifice pleasure many times in order to achieve the goals set.
It only remains for me to say goodbye and wish you every success. A hug and see you soon!
