Louis Noah I see the need to create a portal that concentrates the offer of guided routes that offer added value to both travelers and locals so that they rediscover their city. For this he collected the first 10,000 euros – to which he later added another 50,000 after an investment round – and together with Monica Nicholas created a first version of the Zizerones website.

This tour guide and entrepreneur opted for a simple system. «Our idea is to create a brand around an existing product little differentiated in the market”, explains Noé. In this way they have collaborators who organize guided tours in Valencia, Cuenca, Toledo and Granada, although they always try to offer a different point of view, either because of the nature of the activity or because they offer places that nobody else knows.

They find their audience mostly in couples or families (most visits are suitable for children) and focus on national and local travelers, although they plan to increase numbers with tourists in the short term International. To do this, they have translated their website into English, French and Italian, and many of the guides they work with offer their visits in different languages.

“Our model is to: a Commission on the reservations made through the portal – which are around 13 euros per person -. In the medium term we propose the possibility of implementation cross selling of complementary products and services to the guided tours,” says Noé. Another goal for 2014 is to be present in more than 20 Spanish cities.
