How do you become a successful entrepreneur? – Latest tips
Let’s get straight to the point with the 7 tips that are still missing to fulfill the promise of the 20 tips for being a successful entrepreneur.
#14- Contribute to society (help, etc.)
There are many reasons why humanitarian assistance makes you a good entrepreneur. Some for personal reasons and others for convenience. I always recommend doing this from a personal perspective, as a person, human being… but I have a duty to speak beyond that.
When you help someone, a foundation, you sow, and what you sow, you reap, that is, good things. Also, it would be selfish to think of being very successful for yourself. Why not help someone who needs you?
And then there’s the convenience. What is “Doing good for society gives you a good image” and is even a tool to differentiate yourself from the competition. For example, if you organize free food deliveries to the homeless for a day, it will be talked about a lot in the city. And if you ask who organized such an event? You say the name of your company. phew! They are already better known and even better, well seen.
But come on, if you’re just doing this for interest, you’re not going to feel good about yourself and you’re going to do things wrong. So consider it because it’s the right thing to do, because it’s the best… and because there are people who need our help.
#15- Work to leave a legacy
The way you work largely determines the results of your company. And that decides on success or failure. If you’re just working to make a quick buck, it’s obvious you’re going to have a rushed and unplanned job. But if you work because you want something beyond what you will enjoy, even after you die, your business will really prosper!
Because when you think about leaving your mark on this world, a legacy for your children and future generations, you plan to think about the future and not just the near future. And of course you need to work harder and be more committed, because working in these conditions will give you truly admirable results and you will be considered a successful entrepreneur!
#16 – Taking risks
Do you know the biblical story of Peter walking on water and then sinking (Matthew 14:22)? We can highly criticize this man for sinking, but do you know something? He took a risk and even though he was sinking, he could feel something incredible: the water under his feet without sinking, even if it was only for a few seconds!
Why am I making this comment? because I know you’re reluctant to take risks for fear of going under, failing, failing… and besides what you’re going to lose, you worry about what people say. But let me tell you something, if you take a risk, you will probably fail, but also probably not. Well, if you don’t take the risk, you’ll never know what would have happened. On the other hand, if you take risks and fail, there is at least one lesson left.
Be like Pedro and take risks. I am sure that if you fail you will be happy because for a few moments you managed to do something no one has ever done before. That yes, consider reducing the probability of failure as much as possible.
#17 – Don’t believe in luck
I want to talk about happiness from the point of view of “chance”. I make this clear because happiness can be understood as different things in different countries, which I don’t want to go into.
In a nutshell, while it’s true that many have been successful through luck, believe me that expecting the next lucky guy to be you isn’t the best idea. You have to work based on numbers, statistics, convenience… and anything that brings you closer to success.
#18- Don’t shut yourself off from marketing
Anyone who shuts themselves off from marketing, especially digital, is unlikely to be a successful entrepreneur. When looking for ways to do marketing, don’t fall into the “if the product is good, it will sell itself” because it’s wrong. Don’t run away to pay for the promotion. And if you don’t have the resources, look for a way to promote yourself for free. Digital marketing offers many alternatives.
#19- Make your customers, employees… your family
Don’t see your customers, employees… as gold mines, slaves or anything like that. If you do, you will treat them as such and you will be anything but a successful entrepreneur. Well, the successful entrepreneur is more than a dictator, he is a leader, a person who brings about changes for the better.
Additionally, bad behavior like the one mentioned above will cause your employees to work out of duty, not passion. and on the customer side, you won’t keep them because they have to trust you and that’s impossible. You will realize that you want money! So treat them like family, talk to them, listen to them, attend to their needs, etc.
#20- Don’t neglect your health
That’s like driving a car faster than it can go without stopping. Although it seems that due to his excessive speed he will quickly reach the finish line, in reality he exposes himself to many dangers that he will not allow: he will break down or have an accident!
That’s how it is with us. It’s not about achieving success at the expense of everything, the most important thing is to do well. You don’t care about working hard, not sleeping, not eating well, not resting…because that’s how you get there faster. Well, there is a high possibility that you will get sick before you get there and you will not be able to continue like the car.
And in the best case scenario you’d get there, but you couldn’t go any further. Isn’t it worth it? So when they ask you how to become a successful entrepreneur? Your answer must include: Work hard, but don’t neglect your health! That means you need to rest, sleep, exercise, eat well, see the doctor, etc.
