The first edition of the festival switch, It took place in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico in December 2015 and brought Latin America a space for debate on the universe of startups.
In the presence of 50 High Impact Investors from 15 countries, 1,000 participants and almost $1 million in prizes, the organizers’ expectations of success were confirmed.
What was Switch 2015
The first edition of Switch, organized by Startup México (SUM), Novaera and the Guanajuato State Government, was a festival designed to bring people together international accelerators that could support high-impact startups born in Latin America.
Attractions included personalities such as Steve Cadigan (founder of Cadigan Talent Ventures and former Vice President of Talent at LinkedIn) and Andy Wiedlin (former Chief Revenue Officer of the buzz feed).
But it wasn’t just widely recognized entrepreneurs. Jorge Limón, a member of Team PokerStars Online, also attracted the audience with his discussion of the afraid to risk. In one of his lectures he emphasized that “victory is blind because we assume we are making all the right decisions.”

Projections for Switch 2016
One of the proposals developed before and during the first edition of the festival was the choice of a advertising campaign for Switch 2016. The idea was that any professional could create and present their proposal.
The winner was the campaign Fast or neverwhich, as a concept, brings the speed and dynamism in which everything is happening today, as well as what the festival promises in its next edition, which will take place in the city Lion.
